Fuel tank sites: soil contamination through spills

Leakages from fuel tanks and filling stations may lead to oil and fuel spills. If not detected, soil and groundwater pollution occurs and remediation measures are necessary.

Closure and remediation of a fuel tank site
A former fuel tank site was closed after an accident where fuel was spilt. The area around the tanks and the filling station was contaminated.
