The storage, handling, deponing and runoff of chemical preservatives (mixed oil and oil tar, chromated copper salt) resulted in soil and groundwater contamination. Impacted area covers 5.5 hectares.

Phenol and kreosotes removal by ozone and hydrogenperoxide catalytic oxidation.
Ion exchange separator for copper.
